What is Account NI?
Account NI is the new financial processing centre rolling out across Northern Ireland Executive Departments over the next 18 months. Account NI currently processes all invoices and purchase orders for:-
- Department of Finance and Personnel (DFP)
- Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister (OFMDFM)
- Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment (DETI)
- Department for Employment and Learning (DEL)
With effect from Monday 03 November, the following Departments will also join Account NI:-
- Department for Social Development (DSD)
- Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety (DHSSPS)
The following Departments will also transfer invoicing and purchasing arrangements to Account NI in Spring 2009:-
- Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD)
- Department of Education (DE)
- Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure (DCAL)
Other Departments "going live" will be advertised when appropriate.
What suppliers need to do
Identify the Department you are dealing with from the Purchase Order - please click to view an example of the new Purchase Order format.
You must have a valid Purchase Order number for every order - invoices cannot be processed for payment without one.
Invoices for "live" Government Departments should now be sent directly to Account NI and not the purchaser (except WOPS orders and "utility" bills e.g. mobile phone, rental, electricity).
